Most weeks there will be a class discussion regarding course related topics. These discussions are designed to encourage student to student interaction in an efficient and productive manner. Students are expected to post at least three messages to each weekly discussion. The first post should be an initial reaction to the topic question. Two additional response posts should follow.

Initial reaction post requirements:

1. Thoughtfully addresses the topic question
2. Succinct (~ 4-6 sentences)
3. Posted by midnight Thursday

Response post requirement:

1. Goes beyond simply agreeing or disagreeing by providing additional insights
2. At least two responses (note - this can include follow-ups to your own post)
3. Posted by midnight Sunday
